Bathroom Taps

Author: Theodore Category: Bath Taps

When you’re looking into a bathroom remodel, there are quite a few different choices in bathroom taps. The taps that you use in your shower can be imitated or complemented by those you use in your bathtub and sink. You will also find taps made of many different types of materials, and it’s not difficult to select a model that is quite unique. If you’re planning an extensively decorated bathroom, stylish taps can add to that elegance you’re looking for.

A bathroom tap can be crafted from brass, stainless steel, chrome, nickel or a number of other metallic plated materials. Even the same models of taps can be purchased in a variety of materials, which makes your choice even more difficult, perhaps. Many taps have unique styles of ornamentation, including a brushed or polished finish, or even glass.

A deck filler tap is an excellent choice for your bathroom tub, or perhaps your sink. The filler tap is a popular choice in bathroom design, and it uses a mixer to control the mixture of cold and hot water, which will give you excellent control. When you deck mount a filler tap, you will install two handles for the control of cold or hot water, and the single spout is installed between them.

Another style of tap that is somewhat similar to deck taps is the monobloc tap. This design also mixes your hot and cold water, using one spout and two complementary knobs or handles on either side of the spout. It is different from the filler tap in that it has handles attached to the spout, rather than mounted on either side.

Three-hole wall-mounted bathroom taps separate the spout from the handles, and this is the main design difference from the monobloc style. This tap style also uses a mixer, with the separate cold and hot water handles mixing water that comes from a single spout. Each handle and the spout have their own holes in the sink. A filler tap with three holes is similar to this mixer, and it has three separate parts, those being the one spout and two handles.

In addition to choosing a style of tap for your bathroom remodel, each style also has various designs within it. Some popular taps include Victorian, long spout, short spout, modern, traditional and contemporary. As an example, you may choose a mixer for a basin that mounts with three holes, with copper plating and a brushed finish of Victorian style. To see the newest designs in bath taps, you can visit a home improvement or bathroom design store, or check out the newer styles online.

If you wish to have excellent water pressure, consider purchasing a mixer tap. These taps are elegant in design, and many homeowners today are choosing them for bathroom remodels. Taps like these can be found at local hardware or bathroom design stores, or you can buy them online. Regardless of where you plan to purchase them, you can compare their reviews, features and prices online. These bathroom taps are not difficult to install, if you’re at least somewhat handy, and they don’t usually require full-scale changes of the plumbing you already have in your bathroom.
